Patsy Gillespie

Patsy Gillespie, aged 42 years, killed October 24th 1990 – Civilian

Patsy Gillespie was a civilian worker at a British army base in Derry city. The Provisional IRA used him to drive a car laden with 1000 lbs of explosives into the Coshquin checkpoint on the Derry, Donegal boder. Mr Gillespie and five British soldiers were killed in the resulting explosion.
