Patrick Doherty, aged 31 years, killed on January 30th 1972 Ð Civilian

Patrick Doherty was one of 27 people shot by members of the British armyÕs Parachute regiment on the streets of DerryÕs Bogside, thirteen of whom died on the day, with a fourteenth, John Johnston, dying of his wounds some months later. The day was to become known throughout the world as Bloody Sunday.
