Ronan Moyne
Rónán Moyne is the Development Manager with North Connacht & Ulster Citizens Information Service. A law graduate with post graduate qualifications in Management and Corporate Governance, he has over 15 years’ experience with the sector working in Derry & Strabane as a welfare rights adviser and advocate. He has held both organisational and managerial roles in Advice North West which works towards the vision of “A just society free from poverty, inequality and discrimination, where people can live securely with dignity, where everyone can have a fair chance in life to achieve their full potential with their rights respected and realised.”
Rónán has been a member of the Bloody Sunday March Committee since its inception in 2012, part of the team organising the annual March for Justice and its surrounding educational and cultural programme of events held in Derry around the anniversary each year. His commitment to social justice sees him working in collaboration with a range of other grassroots and community organisations focused on anti-poverty, workers’ rights, anti-racism, migrant rights and related campaigns and initiatives. He is a stand against state injustice and impunity for its crimes, be that against people or against our environment. Rónán has been a GMT Board member since 2014 and is currently its Chairperson.
