Diane is a freelance group Facilitator who has worked in the field of peace building and community education for over 30 years.  In her earlier work she was Training & Development Officer with the Workers Education Association (WEA) based in Derry with responsibility for the design, organisation and facilitation of their adult education programmes in the community/voluntary sector together with their Training The Trainer dimensions. During that time her particular focus was the development of programmes that could contribute to building a sustainable peace.  She is directly responsible for ‘Creating Collaborative Advantage’ a programme designed to encourage and support the sector/s to develop models of joint-working as a way of sustaining their work post the peace monies.

Diane has been a member of GMT’s board since it formed in 2007.  In addition to her work on the board Diane has facilitated the Training-The-Trainer workshops that accredit teachers and youth workers to deliver GMT’s JustUs project on a voluntary basis.

Beyond GMT she continues to train and facilitate programmes on the themes of Leadership, Principled Negotiation and Conflict Management.  Driven by a deep concern for human and environmental justice, Diane is active in a number of campaigns across the North West and beyond.
